I have a townhouse in Haymarket which needed an old wood deck teardown and a new composite deck build. I met up to 5 deck contractors to get estimates. Bill, the owner of Dominion Custom Decks and Patios, discussed and reviewed options with me at the townhome and took measurements. Bill worked professionally with me providing estimates and updates when I needed to change the scope a few times before starting.  Bill is driven by meeting his commitments, and I always got real time responses back directly from Bill. During the build, the rain kept coming but Bill and his outstanding team got it done  working through it. My deck was one of the simpler ones, and I got the same attention and focus from Bill and his team as the other larger decks builds he had going on at the same time. I am very happy with the new deck!  Bill personally made sure everything was done right, down to replacing a patio brick that was cracked around the deck post he informed me about. Dominion Custom Decks provided us with a fantastic backyard transformation.  We were struggling to find a way to use our backyard due to grade, and the smaller deck we had was aging.  Bill, from Dominion, led us through the process of envisionment and planning, answering all of our questions through the process with absolutely no pressure or rush.  Once we made our choices (and a few times of changing our minds) Bill's crews came in an executed flawlessly.  The communication was spot on, and they were timely, respectful, and each milestone was on-time and on-budget.  There were no surprises at all.  The finished product surpassed our expectations! We worked with Bill to remove an existing deck and replace it with a larger deck with some major modifications.  This was after Bill had put a sidewalk in leading to our front door. Bill was very helpful in the selection of materials as well as modifications needed to join the new deck to the existing infrastructure.
